Wedding Band

Almost a year since contentless last post.

Yup Mr Yang and I decided to get marry, due to our house will be ready soon enough, we decided to tie the knot before staying together as a couple.

This post gonna be of wedding band, and hence I'll share my experience on wedding band choosing.

The first shop we went in was Poh Kong in SS2, and the shop is huge!! However, the collection of wedding band was not very big, and most of them are similar in terms of cutting etc. We've chosen a pair of quite simple design to keep in record, and that pair cost around RM3,000. However, I still can't make up my mind due to the design is not a 'wow' to me.

P/S: The first time I have contact with a ring and the first time I know which finger to put the ring on. Kinda paiseh with the salesperson.

A few days we went to Diamond n Platinum and I found the ring that looks suit us very much, right in my size and Mr Yang's. Still can't confirm due to lack of experience. A pair of platinum rings cost around RM5,000.

We went to Wah Chan at One Utama as well, they have abundant of choices. However I only found a female ring within the whole shop, and none for Mr Yang. Their price are quite standard, around RM1.9k for that female ring. One thing about Wah Chan is, they put their price sky high and give you 60-70% discount afterwards. So don't be shy to ask about the price here.

After a few search online, decided to go The Gardens to check out on Love & Co. They have a huge selection of wedding band, and they are the specialist in this I can say. The salesperson are very good to us. We went there on Saturday morning, 10am right after the shop is open, and being the first pair of customer who went in the shop, we are very well served. However, after trying on most of the rings that I think will fit on my fingers, they failed. I've tried on around 10 rings, and non of them suit well. At last, we tried on the signature ring, which appears on most of their advertorial board, Promise series. They are very nice, although a bit too broad for a girl. Love & Co offers free laser engraving~

It is in white gold colour of course. Just I cant find the photo online. Come immediate to Mr Yang's mind is flange, a construction element to joint an object to another. See below photo:
Very similar isn't?

However, they are out of our budget, cost around RM7,000 for a pair.

After that, we went back to Diamond n Platinum to get the first pair we got in mind.
Yup its a waste of time to walk here and there to choose. But since I've got to see most that people recommend, I still think this is worth it since I know nice rings might not suite me.

I have quite fat fingers, and not all rings can suite me well. The ring that we've chosen, has hidden criteria as explained by the salesperson. It looks round but actually the edge is straight, and will not make my excessive finger skin to pop up and looks fat.

The laser engraving machine was out of service for the moment. There will be extra charge around RM15 for laser engraving, but free of charge for normal engraving.
